[About Pukeberg]
Pukeberg Glasbruk is a long-established glass workshop founded in 1871 in Nybrød, Småland, in southern Sweden.
Craftsmen from another karasu workshop, Kosta, were involved in its establishment.
Later, it became a key player in the "Kingdom of Crystal," one of Scandinavia's leading glass-producing regions.
Throughout its long history,
Pukeberg has received high praise for both its practical applications and its artistic merit.
Since the 1930s,
Uno Westerberg,
Eva Englund,
Göran Wärff,
Renowned designers such as Erik Höglund are employed there.
They infused each era with a fresh sensibility.
Modern tableware using colored glass,
A form designed with comfort in mind when you hold it in your hand.
And even objects with a somewhat sculptural presence,
Pukeberg's work gives the impression of having walked a fine line between practicality and artistry.
This plate weighs about 430g.
It has a substantial feel to it.
It is so beautiful just to look at,
My imagination runs wild thinking about what kind of dishes would go well with it.
[Before purchasing]
Since it has been used in a private home for a long time, there are some minor scratches, but
Aside from any major, noticeable scratches, I consider them to be typical of vintage items.
I've included photos to make it as easy to understand as possible, so please check them out.
