Description
Country of manufacture: Finland
Year: 1960s
Manufacturer: Iittala
Designer: Timo Sarpaneva
Size: 12 x 8 cm
Designed in 1966,
Since production began in 1967,
For over 50 years, it has been a beloved classic, symbolizing the beauty of Finnish craftsmanship.
Originally, they were thinking of a "glass that could hold wine directly from a bottle,"
The bottom part evolved into a candle holder.
It seems to have been born from this unique idea.
Applied to the surface of the glass,
Its distinctive feature is its texture, which resembles melting ice.
Even if you line them up individually,
It shines softly when it catches the light.
Also usable as a candle holder,
It also works well as a display.
