Cantagalli（カンタガッリ）は、
年、ウリッセ・カンタガッリがフィレンツェに開いたマヨリカ窯。

ルネサンス期の名窯——デルータ、グッビオ、ウルビーノ——
の技法と意匠を蘇らせることに生涯を捧げ、
幻とされたラスター彩の再現にも成功しました。
英国の陶芸家ウィリアム・ド・モーガンとの
親交を通じてヨーロッパ中の収集家に知られ、
19世紀末には従業員120名を超える工房へと成長。

窯印は、その名（Canta-galli＝「歌う雄鶏」）にちなんだ手描きの雄鶏です。

翼を持つプッティ（天使）たちが、花綵のあいだを駆けまわる——
ルネサンスの浮彫装飾を写した、カップ＆ソーサーです。

型で起こしたレリーフの上から、ひとつひとつ筆で彩色されており、
プッティの表情も、花のにじみ方も、
すべてが一点ものの揺らぎを持っています。

縁には黄色の帯と蔓草文、
口縁と高台には深い藍。
華やかでありながら、どこか鄙びた温かさのある器です。
底面には雄鶏を図案化したとみられる手描きの窯印。
フィレンツェのCantagalli窯によるものと思われます。
飾り棚にそのまま置いても、
小さなアクセサリーや角砂糖の受けとしても。
100年近い時間を纏った、小さな彫刻のような一客です。
