Description
Manufacturer: Kosta Boda
Country of manufacture: Sweden
Era: 1980s
Author: Anna Ehrner
Material: Crystal glass
Size: Height approx. 14.5cm / Diameter approx. 16.5cm
It's a round, bulging, bowl-shaped vase.
In a transparent crystal body,
One large, milky pink surface.
Around it,
Olive-colored dots and short, dashed-line-like streaks.
The same olive motif runs around the rim and base of the glass, just once.
Its shape resembles both a sail and a leaf.
The way the surfaces overlap changes depending on where you view them from.
The thick, transparent part collects light,
Only the colored parts appear to be floating in the water.
Because it has a wide opening and a stable pot shape,
It's perfect for casually arranging short-cut flowers.
Rather than branches, choose abundant flowers.
Anna Ehrner (1948- )
Born near Stockholm,
This person studied pottery at Constfack.
He joined Kosta Boda in 1974.
From then on, I was at the heart of the design work in this workshop.
"I don't want to fight against glass; I want to work with glass."
His representative work, "Line,"
It became one of the best-selling tableware items in Sweden.
A limited color palette and shapes inspired by nature.
Among the flashy Swedish glass of the 1980s,
He was a writer who preferred quieter work.
