It's a tall pot with legs.

Thickly blown amber-colored glass.
When held up to the light,
You can see countless tiny bubbles scattered throughout.

The color is lighter at the rim.
The further you go towards your feet, the deeper you sink.

The skin has uneven streaks of blemishes.
Behind the hill, there were traces of where the pole had been cut.
It remained rough and gritty.

Don't polish it off.
That was this person's way of doing things.

As a container for serving fruit.
You can just leave it there without putting anything in it.

Erik Höglund (1932–1998)
He is an artist who changed the course of glassmaking in Sweden.

At the age of 16, he entered the Stockholm School of Arts and Crafts to study sculpture.
In 1953, at the age of 21, I was welcomed into Boda.

Speaking of Swedish glass at that time,
Clear and polished,
An era in which thinness and precision were considered desirable.
Höglund turns his back on it.

Still containing air bubbles.
While retaining its thickness.
The color remains murky.

At the H55 exhibition in 1955, the king purchased his vase.
In 1957, she became the youngest recipient of the Lunning Prize.
For 20 years until he left Boda in 1973,
He remained the face of this workshop.

In his younger days, Bertil Vallien
She was one of his assistants.
