This is a small, egg-shaped vase that fits in the palm of your hand.

Inside the thick, transparent crystal,
A khaki-colored band rises diagonally upwards.

The band had tiny grains scattered throughout.
When held up to the light, it looks like sand is swirling around.

Behind that,
There are several white areas with a faint wisteria-like tint.

Only around the mouth and on the feet,
A rich olive flavor is swirling around.

Even though it's small, it feels surprisingly heavy when you hold it.
This is the weight of a full red crystal.

Because the mouth is pursed,
It's perfect for casually arranging a few small flowers.

Anna Ehrner (1948- )
Born near Stockholm,
This person studied pottery at Constfack.

He joined Kosta Boda in 1974.
From then on, I was at the heart of the design work in this workshop.

"I don't want to fight against glass; I want to work with glass."

His representative work, "Line,"
It became one of the best-selling tableware items in Sweden.

A limited color palette and shapes inspired by nature.
Among the flashy Swedish glass of the 1980s,
He was a writer who preferred quieter work.
