Description

Manufacturer: Kosta Boda
Country of manufacture: Sweden
Year: 1977
Author: Bertil Vallien
Series: Antikva (Artist Collection)
Material: Glass
Size: Approximately 6.5cm in height

It's a tiny bottle that fits in the palm of your hand.

Inside its round, bulging body,
Countless blue and purple particles were scattered about,
It is enclosed in a layer of transparent glass.
The surface is smooth and glossy,
Only the area in the distance seems to be buzzing with noise.

Its neck was thin, twisted, and striped with blue and white.
It opens up like a plate at the mouth.

Height: 6.5cm.
A single flower, or perhaps a small wild grass.
Without inserting anything,
I think it would be a good idea to put it in the gaps on a bookshelf.

Even though it's small, this is an artist collection.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece created by the artist themselves.
There's a signature on the bottom.

Bertil Vallien (born 1938)
He is a leading glass artist from Sweden.
I studied in Stockholm.
After spending several years in the United States and Mexico,
I joined the Åfors glass workshop in 1963.
A method of pouring molten glass into a sand mold,
It is known for its boat-shaped sculptures.

This series was created in 1977.
A total of 11 items were created, including vases and pots.

As the name suggests, which is related to "ancient times",
It resembles a glass bottle unearthed from an archaeological site.
It takes the form of time.
