This is a long, narrow plate used for serving herring.<\/p>\n
There was one fish at the bottom.
\nIt is in relief.<\/p>\n
Each and every scale,
\nEven the veins on the dorsal fin are carved into the mold.
\nLooking down from above,
\nIt looks like the fish is sinking to the bottom of the plate.<\/p>\n
Because it is glass made using a mold,
\nThe edges are slightly warped.
\nThe thickness is not uniform.<\/p>\n
The series is called "Kosta Party".
\n1970s,
\nThis is a collection of dishes made for the Swedish dinner table.<\/p>\n
So that you can see at a glance what you're putting in it.
\nThe ingredients are carved into the bottom of the plate.
\nThat was the concept behind the series.<\/p>\n
Still in its original box,

\nThe picture on the box shows herring, onion, and bay leaf.<\/p>\n

\nHe studied architecture and crafts in Germany and painting in London.<\/p>\n
I encountered glass while visiting Pukeberg for training.
\nHe became a designer at that workshop in 1958.
\nIn 1964, I moved to Kosta.<\/p>\n
Enclosing colors within transparent glass,
\nThis job is known for its ability to change expression depending on the viewing angle.
\nHe also created the baptismal fonts for the Sydney Opera House and the cathedral.<\/p>\n
Kosta was founded in 1742.
\nThe oldest glass workshop in Sweden.
\nIt's a name formed by combining the surnames of the two officers.<\/p>\n
