The writer Einar Johansen,
This person was affiliated with Søholm from 1958 to 1968.
Initially, he studied painting at the Copenhagen Academy of Fine Arts.
Later, I pursued a career in pottery.

This particular piece is characterized by its scale-like carvings that cover the entire body.
The pattern resembles both pine cones and fish scales.
This is one of the most well-known lamp designs from Søholm.

The part above the neck is not glazed.
It remains in its original, sandy state.
In contrast to the density of the carving,
The overall design is light and manageable.

It's a fairly large size, so it has a noticeable presence.
The shades shown in the photo are 21cm and 23cm in size.

You can use E26 type light bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps, and LED lamps.
Up to 60W for incandescent light bulbs.

■ About Vintage Items
Most of the items in our shop have been used in ordinary households. We believe that small scratches, slight crazing in the glaze, and individual differences in color are not defects, but rather traces of the time the item has spent.
